ThemeFusion is now entering its 5th year and 2017 will brings incredible 300,000+ customers with their popular WordPress Theme. Avada 5.0 brought you the new Fusion Builder with a promise for a larger vision at work. Avada 5.1 continues that promise with incredible behind the scenes works for the ultimate goal. Avada 5.1 contains 5 new professionally designed demos, several new menu options, WCAG 2.0 compatibility, several boxed mode creative options, better performance and a whole lot more.

Although, when comparing with other top Multipurpose WordPress Themes, Avada ranks low in 3 of 5 categories we have analyzed getting an overall result of 41.2%. This is a weird result attending to the fact that Avada is currently the most popular multipurpose WordPress theme.

The price relation is really low, as it is one of the most expensive $60, and offers only 2 premium plugins. This is one of the lowest of all themes in the top 12. Besides, a low number of demos, and lack of features.

In the Pros we should mention the good integration with Bbpress Forum, WooCommerce and WPML ready. Although no Discourse integration and table element is really limited. The Google PageSpeed on Desktop is good (one of the highest) but on mobile, it is a bit disappointing.

It comes with several blog styles and posts types, which is good. In particular, their grid system returns some problems, especially if you have a hosting with low resources. This is a heavy theme.

It has a good bundle of elements and they can be mixed with each other, but at the end, you just get a post full of shortcodes, which might be a nightmare in case you change your theme later. This is what we call shortcode hell.

So, the question is, what makes Avada so popular? Maybe the easy to use Fusion Builder Back-End Page Builder? Well, the point is that nowadays there are much better solutions, with Front-End edition and live edition. Also, there is no ability to go back in case changes you made go wrong.

There is no live search as well. This is a trendy one, and if Avada is a Top theme, then should have it.

Deep customization is hard to be done, even for pro developers. This is something ThemFusion has been forgetting since the beginning and it seems will keep doing so. They point to their partner which are pro’s to customize Avada. Maybe a new line of biz. The point is that it was disappointing to realize that after all Avada wasn’t so good as expected. They have indeed a good advertisement, through their demo, Envato or in 1st person, but there is no better argument than facts, and this is something definitely playing against this WordPress Theme.
